Tonights a big night for SATC fans as movie number 2 opens across the UK. I think it’s great that girls get together and dress up for the occassion, sipping on a few Cosmopolitan cocktails before (during if you’re lucky) and after the film. I went to a press screening on Tuesday night at Warners and I was lucky enough to sip on some white plonk and sit next to Gok Wan who, in the absence of my best girlfriends, is a more than suitable replacement and so very SATC.

I won’t spoil the plot for you (that would be a harder thing to navigate were there one!) but I think you’ll enjoy it. It’s flashy, fun and truly ludicrous in parts but since I’ve got married and had a baby in the 2 years since the first movie, I loved the escapism and the stories resonated with me.

Yesterday I went to the suitably glamorous Claridges Hotel in London to interview all 4 girls and Big. He was charming as you’d expect and kept apologizing for being jet lagged but told me great stories about not being able to escape being Big on a night out with the boys. Something I’m sure his mates enjoy when they get surrounded by an endless stream of hen nights.

So on to the ladies…. all if them so so glamourous and well preserved close up. Cynthia Nixon was a surprise hit with me, so very friendly and fun and looking fabulous too. Kim Catrell was dressed in a figure hugging Julian MacDonald number and was great fun, even giving me a blast of her best hometown Liverpudlian accent. Talking to Kristen Davis feels a bit like talking to Charlotte as she’s very polite and proper and SJP is a (very) mini legend. She looked incredible in a shiny green frock that made her look like a peacock and this was all before lunch. She was very lovely and remembered that last time we’d met 6 months ago I was pregnant and so wanted to hear all about Louis.

I’ll put the audio up on this site soon but for now you can go to              www.heartlondon.co.uk

I really enjoyed the start of the week on my Early Breakfast show on BBC London 94.9 this morning.  We talked competitiveness and cheating at sports at school. According to a new report, 90% of us feel the pressure to win at all costs, and ...
