I’m not sure how I feel about this photo of the new Duchess of Cambridge. Whilst on the one hand it’s nice to see that an adoring public and a £250,000 dress hasn’t changed her (£250,000? Like, how?), but I also feel it’s a bit soon for such a domestic image to be revealed to the world.
Personally I’d have shot straight off on my honeymoon to some old family friend’s private island but perhaps Catherine didn’t have much say in that. The Royal Wedding was such a truly beautiful and impressive occasion which I imagine she enjoyed enormously, not least the knees up under the glitter balls in the throne room later that day.
I know the lovely couple are keen to ‘keep it real’ but honestly, sorting out pants for the wash and pushing a trolley around a supermarket can hardly be much fun. And I don’t care how many posh ready meals Waitrose have to offer. It’s almost as if, just as we’re seeing her as our stunning new future Queen, proud as punch for the world to see, she’s showing us that she’s not that special really and just like you and me.
I’m reminded of lottery winners that say it won’t change them and stay in their semis and boring jobs.
You’ve hit the jackpot Kate, so I for one won’t mind if you enjoy the fruits of your long hard wait. Get an indoor pool and spa built on to the side of your cute cottage, install a private cinema, and for God’s sake get Jamie Oliver round to do the cooking.

Can i just start by saying how much i love reading you updates on here, great web page!
What a month it has been for you a secound baby on the way! i am so please for you and David, such brilliant news i hope everything goes well for you and i will be following you progress!!
Loved the royal wedding and love your royla wedding show on heart with Jamie, you done such a good job, i do have to say i am going to miss wedding watch loved your updates which you did so well!, all we need now is Harry to get married then you can give us part two of wedding watch.
Wow also a new home for you and your family, also so pleased to hear about that two, i hope you David and the children have very many happy years together in your new home.
As always it has been a pleasure reading your blog and i will be back for the next one!
