Leona Lewis has turned down an invitation to have dinner with President Obama as she’s too busy recording her second album in LA. Mad, you’d think? Maybe not when you see the performance surrounding Barack trying to take his Missus out on a date this weekend. The night involved a meal out in New York, a trip to a Broadway show, and a Little Black Dress from Mrs O. Nice. It also involved a helicopter, a bullet proof limo, half the world’s press and a bill to the tax payer of £35,000. Makes my night in with the hubby, Britain’s Got Talent and a take away seem more desirable by the second.

I read that Scarlet Johansson has become the new brand ambassador for Mango. I think this is a stroke of genius as she’s juicy and obviously very tasty. I was thinking that, should the work dry up, the newly single Katie Price and Peter Andre could be the ambassadors for melons and plums. Sadly I then realised it was the clothing chain that Scarlet had signed up to. Missed opportunity.
Michael Jackson is the latest celeb fan of Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity. He’s keen to get them to perform with him when he arrives in London for his marathon of gigs. (Boys, note the use of the word ‘when’ – I’d go ahead and book your summer holiday). I wonder if this invitation would have been extended to whoever had won the show? Jacko and Susan Boyle moonwalking in the 02 would have been a sight not to miss eh?
